Health Can’t Wait Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit working to eliminate health inequities by providing uninsured and underinsured at-risk patients with six months of free, comprehensive obesity care. Through our partnership with Weight A Minute Clinic, we remove the financial and systemic barriers that prevent access to quality treatment—because delaying care costs lives.
We connect patients at highest risk with accessible care from a diverse team: obesity medicine physicians, dietitians, social workers, therapists, and community liaisons.
Our philosophy: Obesity is complex. Successful treatment requires equitable access to information, resources, and providers who reflect and understand the patients they serve.
We also provide engaging nutrition classes and monthly free group workouts, giving patients practical tools and community support as part of our whole-person care approach.
Dr. Cee Nicole is the visionary founder of Weight A Minute Clinic, where she has combined medicine, innovation, and compassion to create a healthcare model that prioritizes equity and accessibility. As a board-certified obesity medicine physician, she has dedicated her career to addressing the complex and often overlooked challenges of obesity, particularly in Black and Brown communities who experience disproportionate barriers to care.
She currently serves on the Advisory Board for Black Health Matters, where she contributes her expertise to advancing national conversations around health equity, preventive medicine, and culturally responsive care. Her leadership has been recognized by peers, community organizations, and patients alike for its innovation and impact.
Beyond her medical practice, she is a passionate advocate, speaker, and mentor—working to inspire the next generation of healthcare providers to build a future where no one’s health depends on their income, insurance status, or zip code.
At Health Can’t Wait Foundation, we believe meaningful change happens through collaboration. Our impact is possible because of our trusted partnerships with organizations and community leaders who share our vision for health equity.
